Why we built WeLocale

WeLocale started with people we know who do translation and localization for a living. Watching them work made one thing obvious: localizing a website is genuinely hard, and genuinely expensive. You hire translators for the words. Then you need a developer to wire those translations into the site. And the moment the site changes, a new page, a tweaked headline, a fresh product, someone has to go back, re-translate, and re-integrate it all over again.

That recurring part was the worst of it. Localization was never really "done." Every update reopened the whole cycle, and it quietly drained time, money, and energy that small teams simply do not have to spare.

So the idea was simple: build a product that takes those repetitive chores off people's plates. Add WeLocale once, and your translations keep up with your site automatically, no re-hiring, no re-integrating every time something changes. What used to be a never-ending project becomes something that just runs in the background.

That is the whole point of WeLocale: localization you set up once, not something you babysit forever.
